Dwight A Croley

Dwight A. Croley, age 72, of Alliance, was called home to rest with the Lord on December 14, 2022 with his wife and daughter by his side.

Dwight was born on June 3rd, 1950 in Kayjay, Kentucky to Lee and Sylvia (Syme) Croley. He attended Alliance City Schools and proudly worked at Transue and Williams Stamping Company for 34 years where he was fondly known as “Ike”.

Dwight enthusiastically enjoyed Mount Union Purple Raiders football, Red Lobster, and spending time with his family. A chauffeur for many family vacations, he loved being at the beck and call of a van full of his in-laws.

He was a talented handyman with a willingness to help when and where he could. He had a warm smile and a kind heart - it wasn’t unusual to see his sappy side.

A loving and devoted husband, Dwight is survived by his heartbroken wife and life partner of 43 years, Janice (Myers) Croley. Also left to mourn the painful loss of her adoring father is their daughter, Sarah Croley.    Additionally he is survived by two daughters, Vicki Croley and Melissa Lare; four sisters, Maxine (Bob) McIlvain, Melissa (Gary) Simone, Dianna (Greg) Greenamyer and Rae Ann (Harry) Thomas; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Joe) Ratliff, Susan Mastroianni, Lisa Myers, Mary Guillermo; and many nieces and nephews.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Sylvia Croley; his son, Adam Croley; a brother, Larry Croley, a sister, Karen Brandonisio; sister-in-law, Judy Evans; brother-in-law, Joseph Mastroianni; and mother and father-in-law, Eugene and Shirley Myers.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21st 2022 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled at 1:00 PM with interment following at Alliance City Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Williams will officiate.
