Earl A. Atherton, age 79 of Canton, died at his home at 8:30 p.m. July 24, 2004.
He was born May 29, 1925 in Baird, Ohio to Marvin and Alice (Buehring) Atherton and lived in this area for twenty years.
Mr. Atherton was employed by Milford Rivet, Flintcoat Company, American Steel, and retired from Alliance Towers, after working in maintenance.
Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife Timoline Mae (Smith) Atherton, whom he married December 16, 1961, three sons David Atherton of Canton, Karl Atherton, of Canton, and Keith (Daisy) Atherton of Alliance; eight grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters Shery, Naomi, and Ivy, and one grandson Stephen Karl Atherton.
A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Aultman Hospice Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
