Earl P. Helsel

Earl P. Helsel, age 77, of Grapevine, Texas, and formerly of Alliance, died at his home at 10:14 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, after a prolonged illness.
He was born December 24, 1935, in Alliance, Ohio, to Earl M. and Helen M. (Moulin) Helsel.
Earl served his country in the U.S. Navy, and later worked in the insurance industry, having retired as Divisional Manager of Physicians Mutual Insurance Company in Fort Worth, TX.
He will be greatly missed by his family, including; his brother, Bill Helsel of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Marie Cox of Alliance; step children, Bill Monroe, and Shelia Monroe, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and care givers, Irene Villafranca and Angela Lighty.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Hartzell Cemetery.
