Earl Risden

Earl Lawrence Risden, age 97, of Alliance, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Bel-Air Care Center.
He was born July 15, 1914 in Alliance, Ohio to Ross L. and Susie Jane (Rickle) Risden.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Earl retired in 1976 as an Inspector for B&W Tubular Products after 30 years of service.
Mr. Risden was a very active member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church, member of AARP and USWA, and served with the U.S. Army during WWII.
Survivors include his son Richard E. Risden of Redondo Beach, California, granddaughter, Megan Risden of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, Mary Thelma (Shook) Risden, whom he married Feb. 13, 1946, and who died Nov. 11, 1997; brother, Virgil Risden, and sisters, Geraldine McKnight, and Berdine Evans.
Private burial will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
