Edison Napier Jr. was born September 10, 1938 in Gilbertown, Alabama to Edison Sr. and Carrie Napier.
Edison Napier Jr., a.k.a. Nip, was a veteran of the US Air Force. He could fix any car that was put in front of him. He loved fishing, Bingo, and always played the Ohio Lottery. He was quite an athlete and worked at Royal China, and as a foreman at Gem Clay in Sebring, OH, and a local factory until he retired.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Sam Wood, and his twin daughters, Carrie Napier-Barwick and Era Napier, whom which he shared with his first wife, Sherry Napier; his step-daughter, Yuvonne Irvin; his two step-sons, Scott Lowery and Don Paul Lowery; his siblings, Corinne Jones, and Francine Taylor; his 9 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carolina Napier; his brother, Thomas Napier; his son, Marc Edison Napier; his brother, Elmer Napier; his sister, Tanya Hancock; and his second wife Connie Napier.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle- Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14 at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Bobby Williams will officiate.
