Edna F. Michael, age 82, of Alliance, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born February 25, 1927 in Minerva, to Fred and Violet (Lee) Baxter and resided in the Alliance area most of her life.
Mrs. Michael was formerly employed by Alliance Manufacturing.
A member of the Family Christian Center in Canton, she enjoyed attending yard sales, cooking, gardening, and playing cards. Edna was married for 58 years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Michael, whom she married December 6, 1952; her sons, Robert J. (Jane) Ludlam and Thomas G. (Karyn) Ludlam, both of Atwater; one daughter, Susan (Kim) Scott of Minerva; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Claudia) Baxter of Alliance; one sister, Betty (Paul) Clair; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Hazel Glass and three brothers, James, Robert and William Baxter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Southside Church of God with Rev. Fredrick Bays officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
