Edna E. Weekly, age 82, of Alliance, passed away at 5:14 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at her home with her daughter by her side.
She was born December 30, 1930, in Alliance, to Ellis and Samantha (Freed) Eberling Manning.
Edna attended Alliance Public Schools and was formerly employed at the former Alliance Nursing Home and Bel-Air Care Center.
She attended the Alliance Baptist Temple. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle Aerie No. 2174 Auxiliary and also the Alliance Area Senior Citizen's Center. She enjoyed gardening, working in word books, spending time with her cats, and taking trips with the senior center.
Survivors include her two daughters, Judith (Ronald) Bradway and Karen Sue Weekly, both of Alliance; four grandchildren, Ronald (Donna) Bradway, Jr., Randy Bradway, Janet (Barry) Boehm and Amy (Pat) Sihock; nine great-grandchildren; Chris, Taylor, Dominic, Zachary, Misty, Jordan, Ryan, Chelsea and Austin; sister, Shirley (Homer) Long of Kensington; and four brothers, Jim (Dorothy) Eberling of Sebring, June Eberling and Clifford (Carol) Eberling, both of Alliance; and John (Jean) Manning of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer E. Weekly who died October 9, 1987; daughter, Janice Lynn Weekly; and a sister, Virginia Anderson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Rd., Suite 106, Alliance, OH 44601.
