Edna "Pennye" May Wright, age 81 of Minerva, died at 8:45 a.m. April 4, 2005 at Minerva Eldercare Center.
She was born May 25, 1923 in Alliance, Ohio to Levi and Mary (Kran) Woolf and lived in this area most of her life.
Mrs. Wright attended Sebring High School and took art instruction school home courses.
She was employed at Salem China Company for ten years and at Royal China Company in Sebring for ten years, from which she received recognition for innovation suggestions in piece work production.
Mrs. Wright also worked at the YMCA in Salem as a child attendant for two years, and then as a recruitment co-coordinator for the Tayanita Council Camp Fire Inc. in Salem. She enjoyed reading, golfing, artwork and bicycling.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy (Richard) Kerns of Sebring and Shirley Engler of Alliance, one brother Donald Woolf of Sebring, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orrie Wright, who died in January 1982, three brothers, Walter Woolf, Robert "Bob" Woolf, and James Woolf, and one sister Carolyn Hickman.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams of Alliance Evangelical Friends Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
