Edward McCartney

Edward W. McCartney age 86 of Alliance died at 12:45 a.m. November 1, 2003 at Roselawn Terrace.
He was born November 4, 1916 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Edward W. and Alice McCartney Sr. He lived in Alliance since 1999, after moving from Chalfont, Pa.
He was employed by and retired from Drexelbrook Engineering in Horsham Pa., after working in shipping.
A member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Mr. McCartney was a past member of the board of directors of Crossroads Prison Ministry. He was also a U. S. Army Reserves veteran.
He is survived by two daughters Alice McCartney of Alliance and Irene Harris of Hatfield Pa., and 3 grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Annamae L. (Stump) McCartney, whom he married June 9, 1951, and who died April 25, 2001, and one brother Robert.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday November 6, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, Pa., with Rev. Nick Barbetta officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Crossroads Prison Ministry, P.O. Box 363 Bensalem, Pa 19020.
