Edward G. Witherspoon

Edward G. Witherspoon, age 97, of Alliance, passed away at 12:10 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Danbury Senior Living of Alliance.
He was born September 28, 1920 in Alliance Ohio to Edward and Helena Witherspoon.
Edward was an Alliance High School graduate and employed at Babcock and Wilcox.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
Ed is survived by his wife, Dolly Witherspoon of Alliance and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Jean Powley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Orchard officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., on Monday, February 5th at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
