Eglantine L. 'Bootz' Fergason

Eglantine L. (Oyster) Fergason, age 103, of Alliance, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.
Eglantine was born October 1, 1913, to the late Emmor Oyster and Vennie Oyster Brunner. She was married to the late Robert G. Fergason.
She graduated from Kent State University and was a school teacher at the one room school house in Lexington Township and later on in several other public schools.
Bootz is survived by two sons; Robert Bruce (Linda) of Alliance and John (Sherry) of Louisville; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons; Scott (infant), David and Michael; three brothers; Kenneth and Vincent Oyster and Ronald Brunner and a sister, Loretta Beadnell-Bilcze.
Eglantine was a loyal and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Alliance.
She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
The Fergason family would like to thank Kim Mitchell and her family for all of the wonderful care they gave to Bootz over the last 10 years. "Kim, we all feel like you are our earthly angel and part of our family. We can't thank you enough for all that you have done!"
They also want to thank the Alliance Hospice nurses for their special care and love.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2017 at Fairmount Memorial Park with Rev. James K. McCurdy officiating.
A remembrance celebration will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at First United Presbyterian Church in Alliance, Ohio, with Rev. James K. McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
