Eileen R. Smith

Together Again

Eileen R. Smith, age 87, passed away on April 13, 2025.

She was born on September 29, 1937, in Garrison, PA, to Walter E. and Edna I. Rhome.

Eileen graduated from Alliance High School in 1955. She was the Vice President at Smith Machine Inc. for 50 years until her retirement. Eileen then worked in the cafeteria at West Branch High School. She was a member of Sebring Friends Church where she played the piano. Eileen was also a member of several bowling leagues in Melbourne, FL, loved to travel and riding motorcycles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James D. (Caroline) Smith and Bret E. (Brenda) Smith; grandchildren, Jason Smith, Jennifer (Joe) Hoy, Dominic Hoy, Travis Hoy, Bree Smith (Eric) George, Bret A. Smith (Dillan Monroe); great-grandchildren, Cole, Kylie, Kaelyn, Ava, Lexy, and Jameson; and sister-in-law, Marlene Rhome

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David F. Smith; and her brothers, Arthur C. Rhome, Robert Rhome and George (Carol) Rhome.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, April 18th at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
