Elaine L. Lorden, age 73 of Alliance, died at 11:50 p.m. March 7, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center.
Mrs. Lorden was born Oct. 5, 1931 in Alliance, Ohio to Fred and Minnie Moore and was a lifelong resident.
She attended Alliance High School, retired from B&W Research, and was employed at Alliance Wal-Mart. She also served as a volunteer at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mrs. Lorden was a member of Vine Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzan Schott, Marta Long, and Elaine Lorden II, one son, Herbert (Kris) Brady, all of Alliance, grandchildren, Jim (Lori) Schott, Shannon (Michael) White, Dusty Schott, Missy (Carl) Merriman, Mark Merriman, Ryan Long, O'Neal Long and Tom (Heidi) Schmoyer; great-grandchildren, Megan Schott, Jordan White, Madison Lilley, and Gage Lilley, and friend Thomas Lorden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Derwood L. "Gat" Brady.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
