Eleanor R. Eckert age 82 of Homeworth, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 7, 2006 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center.
She was born March 18, 1924 to Edward and Myrtle (Blanc) Shoemaker and lived in Maximo and Homeworth all her life.
Survivors include one daughter Elinore "Fran" Mihevic of Homeworth, four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Edwards of Minerva.
Mrs. Eckert was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Bobbi Arnold, in 1991, and Elodie DeJane in 1998, one granddaughter, Shari L. DeJane, in 2003, and her husband, Robert Eckert, who died March 19, 2004, with whom she married Jan. 3, 1941.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
