Elijah Lawton Grindley, age 22, passed away in his sleep on July 2, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio.
Eli was born October 14, 1995, in Kenosha Wisconsin to Gregory Warren Grindley and Beth (Aderholt) Grindley.
Eli graduated from Medeira High School/Scarlet Oaks and attended Robert T. White Nursing School.
Eli was known for his giving spirit, philanthropy, his compassionate heart and joyful style. Eli was a lover of books who enjoyed discussing Sociology and Philosophy. He will be forever loved and missed.
He was a supporter of the Mahoning County Buddy Walk, Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, and an essential part of the Food Pantry at LifePointe Church in Atwater.
Survivors include his father, Gregory (Crystal) Grindley of Limaville; his mother, Beth Grindley of Cincinnati; brother, Iain Grindley of Cincinnati; sister, Brittany (Joey) Helmuth of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sister, Ella Hostetler of Limaville; grandparents, Robert (Mary) Aderholt of Hastings, NE; his best buddy, Timothy Wayne Clair Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.
Eli was preceded in death by grandmothers, Susan Eileen Earnest and Georgia Elain Aderholt, and grandfather, George F. Grindley.
A Celebration of Eli's life will be held at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at LifePointe Church, 6498 Waterloo Road, Atwater, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eli's honor to the Robert T. White Nursing School to help Eli's classmates.
