Elizabeth Carol (Stewart) Rhome, age 88, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2022
She was born on January 9, 1934 to Mike and Laura (Sapp) Stewart-Kimble.
Carol loved her church and her family. She was a member of Christian Women’s Connection and volunteered at the soup kitchen. Carol enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent baker.
She will be loved and missed by her family, including her children, Sandra (Mark) Poe of Burton, West Virginia, Kenny (Kim) Rhome, Roger (Tracy) Rhome, Ronnie (Missi) Rhome, all of Alliance; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Castina Rhome; sisters, Marlene K. Rhome-Shefelton, Helen Wright and Patty Butcher; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Alex Kimble; her husband, George W. Rhome, on May 18, 2018; son, Dennis “Denny” Walter Rhome; two grandsons, Jonathan Allen Rhome and Ronald Douglas Rhome, Jr.; great-grandsons, Carson Michael Ross and Timothy Hayes III; brothers, Michael “Junior” Stewart, Robert Stewart and Ronnie Stewart; and sister, Lula Faylene Stewart.
Friends may call on Friday, February 25th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26th at the funeral home with a visitation one hour prior. The service will be co-officiated by Pastors Dale Gruver and Jack Ruble. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
