Elizabeth Slee

June 8, 1905 — November 23, 2005

Elizabeth McCord Slee, age 100 of Sebring, died at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born June 8, 1905 in Wellsville, Ohio to J. Warren and Anna (Eyer) McCord and was a lifelong area resident, moving to Copeland Oaks in 1996.
Mrs. Slee graduated from Alliance Business School and worked as a record librarian at Alliance City Hospital. In 1932, she received medical record training at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School. She was employed as Head of Medical Records at St. Barnabas Hospital in Newark New Jersey and at Flower Fifth Ave. Hospital in New York City. She was later employed at Alliance Eye and Ear Clinic as a Medical Assistant for 18 years.
She was a member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ, former member of the Alliance Woman's Club and enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, traveling and visiting with friends.
Survivors include close cousins, Mary Davison and family of Alliance; Martha (Harry) Wheaton and family of Alliance; and Betty Powers and family of Sylvania, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Louis W. McCord and one sister, Grace A. McCord.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3rd at the Bennett Chapel at Copeland Oaks. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
Her loving and caring spirit will be missed by all she knew.
