Ellen L. Gambill, age 95, of Alliance, died at 3:25 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born July 12, 1917, in Steubenville, Ohio, to Earl and Mary (Lloyd) Gillespie.
Ellen was a high school graduate and formerly employed with Dr. Kellerher as an office receptionist for 8 years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Thomas C. Gambill, Jr., of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas C. Gambill, whom she married in 1936; brother, Melvin Gillespie and sister, Vernie Nystrom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th SW, Canton Ohio 44707.
