Ellen Marie Morse Hoover age 67 of Gibsonton Florida, and formerly of Alliance, died October 31, 2003 at Lifepath Hospice House after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born November 19, 1935 in La Rue Ohio to Joe and Velma (Crist) Morse, and lived in Alliance from 1940 until June 1984. Mrs. Hoover was employed by Molly Stark Hospital as a Nursing Aid. She also worked in dietary at Copeland Oaks, and as a nurse's aid at Jane Francis and J.R. Nist.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by her daughters Cynthia Hoover Morgan of Canton, Bonnie Hoover Sheridan of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Karen Hoover Friesel of Gibsonton, Fla., Joyce Hoover of Tampa Fla., 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Ethel Nesea of Alliance, Evelyn Miller of Louisville, Edith Hunt of Dade City Fla., Elena Robinson of DeKalb, Miss., and Esther Williamson of Alliance, brothers Evert Morse of Columbiana, Elden Morse of Cushing Okla., Earlis Morse of Colorado Springs Col., sister in law Marjorie Hoover Fox Kuhn of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell L. Hoover whom she married Nov. 27, 1953 and who died in 1974, one brother Edwin Morse and one sister Elain Balderson.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Simmons of the Union Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
