Ellen M. Minger, age 56, of Alliance, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1955 in Bedford, Ohio to Lester and Marjorie (Black) Stanley.
A 1973 graduate of Alliance High School, Ellen was employed by Pressworks. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards with her friends and especially loved spending the holidays with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Minger, of Alliance; sisters, Dolly (Lou) Labajeta, Sandy Tonkin and Leslie Stanley, all of Ravenna, Ohio and Judy (Robert) Blake of San Antonio, TX; brother Melvin (Bridgette) Stanley of Radcliff, KY; several nieces and nephews; and companion, Donald Bates of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, David S. Minger whom she married on December 16, 1978 and who died February 23, 2001.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at First Immanuel United Church of Christ with Pastor Neal Mann officiating.
