Elmer Roy Wingert, age 75, of Millersburg, Ohio formerly of Alliance, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday July 9, 2008 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home in Millersburg.
He was born June 16, 1933 in Alliance, Ohio to Roy L. and Marie (Schmucker) Wingert.
Survivors include his three cousins Eleanor (John) Taylor, Boardman, Ohio, Carol (Tom) Edwards Louisville, Ohio, and Buzz (Helen) Schmucker, North Canton, Ohio; one aunt Dorothy Blythe, Louisville, Ohio.
Elmer enjoyed his family and friends and his participation at the workshop.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Fairmount Memorial Park with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Board of Mental Retardation, 2950 Whipple Ave. NW Canton, OH 44708.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio.
