Emily H. Stewart, age 93, of Sebring, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born September 16, 1918 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Mallory and Maye (Welch) Hawk.
Mrs. Stewart received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma University and had worked as an elementary school music teacher.
She was a former member of St. James Church in Columbus, member of P.E.O., Delta Gamma Sorority, and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Stewart, whom she married in July, 1942; son, Charles Stewart of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Nancy Ginsburg, of Hudson, Ohio; grandchildren, Joanna and Robert; and sister, Marian Shepherd, of Kamiah, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private service will be held at a later date.
