Ercil F. Casseday, age 89, of Sebring, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1929, in Terra Alta, West Virginia, to Ercil F. and Hilda V. (Pentony) Casseday.
Ercil was a member of the Stark County Horseshoe Club and the Alliance Senior Center. He was a dedicated horseshoe and pool player and won many trophies in both activities.
Survivors include his brother, Roger (Lou) Casseday of Newbury, OH; nephews, Patrick (Christine) Casseday of Chardon, OH, Dan (Lyn) Casseday of Lutz, FL, and Randy (Nam Sook) Casseday of Washington DC; and nieces, Connie (Keith) Badour of Chatham, Ontario and Terry Carver of Newbury, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. (Vechter) Casseday, whom he married June 28, 1969 and who died July 19, 2000; and a sister, Eugenia Casseday.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Copeland Oaks Bennett Chapel with Chaplain David Parry officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
