Erie Messenheimer, born March 19, 1935, passed away at her home on September 7, 2008.
Erie was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of Everett and Pearlie (Dean) Sparks, however, she was raised by her Grandfather, Scott Dean and her Aunt Nettie Knipp, in Southern Ohio.
Erie is survived by her loving husband, Paul Messenheimer; her three children; Tom Messenheimer (Korey) of Plantation, Florida, Pam Messenheimer Biggs of Saraland, Alabama and Trinka Messenheimer (Stan Young) of Bloomville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Rebecca Biggs Christian (Jeremy) of Saraland, Alabama, Rachel Biggs Patton (Robert) of Mobile, Alabama, Broede Young Armstrong (Dave) of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Jack Young of Tiffin, Ohio and Morgan Messenheimer of Plantation Florida; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Isabella Patton of Mobile, Alabama; a sister, Jerri Neal; sister-in-law, Ann Heimlich and a devoted sister-in-law Mary (Messenheimer) Wearstler, along with a host of beloved cousins; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandfather; brother, Troy and a sister, Mildred.
Erie was a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ where a Celebration of Life service will be held Friday evening, September 12, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
