Erma Belle Miller, age 72 of Alliance, passed away at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at her home.
She was born May 16, 1938, in Fairhope, Ohio to Raymond Mclean and Beatrice Fay (Starkey) Devers.
Erma was a graduate of Peoples Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO. She married LeRoy Frederick Miller, Jr. September 1, 1961 and was secretary and bookkeeper for her husband's business the former Miller's Appliance Service.
She was a very nuturing person who cared for ailing friends, loved to acknowledge various events of her friends thru cards, enjoyed flowers and feeding and watching birds, traveling thru the United States and went on missionary trips in Mexico.
Survivors include two sons, LeRoy Frederick (Carolyn) Miller, III of Logansport, IN. and Paul Miller of Alliance; one daughter, Marilyn Richards of Canton; three grandsons, LeRoy Miller, Richard Andrews and Levi Andrews; great granddaughter, Brooke Andrews; three brothers, Mervin (Donna) Devers and Kenneth (Linda) Devers of Cumberland, OH, and Darrell Devers of Elberta, AL.; four sisters, Virginia McFarlane of New Philadelphia, Florence Devers of Alliance, Martha (Magdaleno) Luna of Lebanon, Pa. and Elizabeth (Bill) Phillips of Salem; sister-in-law, Barbara Devers of Warren.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and her brother, Rolland Devers.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. David Parry and Rev. Tom Haight co-officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery
