Erma T. Sarris, age 93, of Alliance, died at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at McCrea Manor Nursing Center. She was born September 3, 1922 in Summitville, Ohio to Louis A. and Domenica (Campana) Beltrami. Erma retired from Alliance Manufacturing after working as an assembler to be a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alpine Trentino Club, Christopher Columbus Club, and the Alliance Post of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Music was very much in her life and she loved to sing and dance. She sang for over twenty years in the choir at St. Joseph's Church in Alliance. Survivors include sons, Dorian Sarris of Craftsbury, VT and David Sarris of W. Newton, PA; her brother Louis Beltrami of Alliance, three grandchildren; her favorite niece, Deanna Huebner of Alliance, and her many other nieces, nephews and cousins both here and in Italy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Daniel and Ray Beltrami; and sisters, Mary Garces, and Gizella Biondi as well as her former husband, Pete Sarris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
