Esther Ringler Fessler, age 81 of Alliance, died at 8:53 p.m. October 29, 2005 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born December 4, 1923 in Moultrie, Ohio to Herman and Lulu (Unger) Riesen.
Mrs. Fessler was a 1941 graduate of Minerva High School. She worked at Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Division in Alliance as an Accountant and also worked at the former Ohio Bell in the Accounting Department and as a secretary at North Lincoln Elementary School.
She was a former member of the Pine Lake Christian Church in Sebring and a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. She was a member of the Knight Templar Ladies Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star #296, Former 4-H advisor for Columbiana County for 10 years, member of Mile Branch Grange, Sweet Adelines, a former Sunday School teacher and was involved in other church functions. Mrs. Fessler lived a very active life and loved to dance, play cards and spend time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Fessler, whom she married August 22, 1998, two sons, Gary L. (Phyllis) Ringler of Baltimore, MD and Larry E. (Jan) Ringler of Warren, Ohio; twin daughters, Janet M. (Joe) Dillon and Joyce K. (Paul) Addams both of Alliance, Ohio; five Grandchildren, three step-Granddaughters, one step-Great-Grandson and three stepdaughters, Luan (Dave) Ardinger of Palm Harbor, Florida, Susie (Tom) Wegner of Denton, Texas and Patty Fessler of Bradenton, Florida; one sister, Judith K. Puhl of Alliance, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fessler was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Robert Ringler whom she married January 14, 1949 and who died January 7, 1996 and one brother, James R. Riesen.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bratten officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 296 will conduct services at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
