Esther Elaine Stahl, age 95, of Alliance, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born February 2, 1913 in Alliance, to Frank L. and Mary A. (Keiter) Stahl and was a lifelong resident.
A 1931 graduate of Alliance School, Ms. Stahl was employed as a cashier and assistant manager by movie theaters in Alliance until her retirement.
Ms. Stahl became one of the original residents of the Alliance Towers in 1979 and lived there until she moved to Canterbury Villa of Alliance due to poor health in 2007.
Survivors include her niece and her husband, Mary Alice (Juergens) and Richard E. Goldner of Edmond, Oklahoma; cousin, Idella Alworth of Alliance and sister-in-law, Jane Stahl of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Keith Stahl, brother, Clair B. Stahl; and recently by her sister, Grace A. Juergens.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. David deVries of Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton officiating. Friends may call 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
