Esther N. Weaver, age 85, of Sebring, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born February, 27, 1927, in Alliance, to John and Mary (Baldwin) Aufrance.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Esther attended Malone University (formerly known as Cleveland Bible College).
A birthright member of Alliance Friends Church, Esther was active in many committees over the years. She was primary children's church leader, active in Pioneers Girls, and sang in the choir.
Mrs. Weaver worked in the payroll department at Alliance City Hospital before her marriage. Most of her years were spent at home taking care of her children.
She was a Tupperware dealer for 20 years. Esther enjoyed collecting bells, music boxes, coins, dolls, stamps, sewing, quilting, taking pictures, and covered bridges.
Survivors include her children, Susan (Joel) Arico, of Casper, Wy.; Jayne (Gene) Statti, of Canfield, and Dan (Faith) Weaver, of Alliance; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra Pittenger, husband, Duane F. Weaver, whom she married January 21, 1949, and who died September 2, 2011; and brothers, Robert and Russell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Alliance Friends Church 1307 W. State St., Alliance, OH 44601 with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church Thursday. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alliance Friends Church.
