Ethel L. Elder, age 94 of Alliance, and formerly of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, died at her home at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday June 14, 2005.
She was born December 3, 1910 in Tyler County, West Virginia to William E. and Sarah (Shephard) Dennis.
Mrs. Elder enjoyed raising flowers and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Anne Elder of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Elder, whom she married Feb. 9, 1935, and who died July 8, 1980, four brothers, Arthur Dennis, Raymond Dennis, Emery Dennis, and Walter Dennis, and four sisters, Cecelia Eddy, Stella Billiter, Bertha Fluharty, and Ada Coffy.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James White of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
