Ethel C. Ritchie, age 94, of Alliance, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Aultman Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1915, in Lexington, Ohio, to Clyde Arthur and Mabel Leona (Hartenstein) Ritchie and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
A 1933 graduate of Alliance High School, Ethel attended Mount Union College. She was employed at the former National City Bank for over 39 years in the vault area.
Ethel was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Deborah's of the church, Club 55, and the Christian Women's Club.
Survivors include her sister, Doris (Robert) Weaver of Louisville; nephews, Tom (Wanda) Nelson of Hartville, and Rick (Barb) Nelson of Louisville; niece, Marsha (Richard) Glass, of Louisville; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Tim Nelson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with The Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
