Eugene M. Marinchak, age 81, of North Benton, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Margaret (Woleski) Marinchak.
A graduate of Lincoln High School in Cleveland, Mr. Marinchak worked as a Locksmith, beginning in 1941, and was the owner of Alliance Lock and Key for 25 years.
A U. S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the American Legion Post 166 of Alliance, and member of Treasure Cove Land Owners Association.
Survivors include, one daughter, Marlinda (Rick) Jenkins, of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one son, Martin W. (Lisa) Marinchak, of Avon Lake, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael Marinchak, and Josh, Eric, Christa, Shanna and Jarrod Jenkins; his companion, Betty Gross, of North Benton, and her daughter, Cassandra Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
