Eugene A. Nuzum, age 58 of 433 S. Freedom Ave. Alliance, died at 8:19 p.m. Saturday August 28, 2004 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1946 in Harrison, West Virginia to Palmer and Elma Mae (Lucas) Nuzum, and lived most of his life in Alliance. He formerly resided in Woodsfield, Ohio.
Mr. Nuzum was formerly employed by Whitacre-Greer Company. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and member of American Legion Post 166 of Alliance. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son.
Survivors include three daughters Lisa Jones of Gaffney, South Carolina, Melissa Nuzum of Alliance, Jodie (Rodney) Jarvis of Alliance, two sons Ricky (Angela) Nuzum of Gaffney, S.C., and Rodney (Christina) Sellers of Alliance, ten grandchildren Kayla and MiRanda Nuzum, Kristin, Kelsey and Rodney Sellers Jr., Britney, Jeremy and Katelynn Jarvis, Nicholas Barnes Jr. and Dillon Barnes, companion Shirley Inherst of Alliance, ex-wife Paulette Nuzum of Alliance, four sisters Goldie Douglas of Ravenna, Ohio, Betty Hunt of Warren, Ohio, Minervia (Vervin) Wortham of TX, and Ellen Porch of Alliance, and three brothers Harold (Ethel) Nuzum and Howard Nuzum both of Alliance, and Junior Nuzum of Buckhannon, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Richard Nuzum, two sisters Gladys Nuzum and Thelma Shaw, and two brothers Herman and John Nuzum.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Nick H. Myers Jr. of Anointed Fountain Church of God and Christ officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
