Eugene E. Schneider

Eugene E. Schneider, age 83, passed away on September 15, 2024. 

He was born on July 22, 1941, in Canton, to Edwin and Pauline (Craven) Schneider.

Eugene worked as a lineman for Ohio Bell until his retirement. He was a member of Alliance Baptist Temple where he operated the sound room and served as a trustee. Eugene also served honorably in the United States Air Force. He liked fishing, playing cards, bowling and enjoying local cuisine. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glenda; children, Michael (Lori) Schneider, Jennifer (Jonathan) Smyke, Danielle Whatling, Amanda Burkey, and Tonya (Bill) Lancaster; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Fishel; brother, David Schneider; many nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Davis; step-son, Jason Mauck; step-grandson, Anthony (Courtney) Courtney; and granddaughter-in-law, Katlyn Courtney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-grandson, Robert Courtney. 

A funeral service will be held at the Alliance Baptist Temple on Friday, September 20th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Randy Payne will officiate.
