Eugenia H. Codrea

Eugenia "Jean" Codrea, age 80, of Alliance died at 9:05 p.m. March 21, 2006 at Community Care Center.
She was born Aug. 24, 1925 in Alliance, Ohio to Nick and Otilia (Phillip) Streza and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Codrea graduated in 1943 from Alliance High School and was formerly employed in accounts payable at B&W Tube and Armour and Company.
She was a member of Alliance Evangelical Friends Church, member of the U.R. Transylvania Society, and Christian Women.
Survivors include three sons, Charles D. (Dora) Codrea of Boca Raton, Fla., Phillip J. (JoAnn) Codrea of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Daniel N. (Sandi) Codrea, of Forest, Va.; six grandchildren, Marianne Engman, Francesca Codrea, Julie Codrea, Jason Codrea, Emily Codrea, and Abby Codrea; one great-grandson, Christian Engman; one brother, Nick Streza of Alliance; two sisters, Eleanor (Ed) Marini of Ravenna, and Georgeta (Joe) Gusbar of Alliance; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Codrea was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Daniel J. Codrea, whom she married Nov. 4, 1941, and who died two days prior.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Alliance Evangelical Friends Church with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
