Evelyn M. Bolen

Evelyn M. Bolen, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 8:05 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Summa Health System in Akron.
She was born August 11, 1925, in Amsterdam, Ohio, to John and Amy (Roudebush) Shepherd.
Evelyn retired from the Alliance Machine Company where she was an accountant for 25 years.
For more than 50 years, Evelyn was a member of Marlboro Christian Church where she was an active servant of the Lord.
She will be missed by her son, Dana (Wanda) Bolen of Salem; grandchildren, Justin Bolen of Cuyahoga Falls and Sheneil (Jay) Jones of Knoxville, TN; step-grandchildren, Tina (Mark) Cunningham of Lisbon and Lisa Mannion of Alliance; great-granddaughter, Madeline Jones; step-great-grandchildren, Mark Cunningham III, Aaron Mannion and Austin Myers; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry, who passed away July 17, 1999; five sisters; and one brother.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Marlboro Christian Church with Pastor Ed Harnish officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
