Evelyn M. Ellis

Evelyn M. (Stickler) Ellis, age 87, of Alliance, left her mortal body for immortality on Wed October 28, 2015. After a hard battle with COPD, she is now breathing freely sweet heavenly air.
She was born February 25, 1928, to Roy and Anna (Kline) Stickler who both preceded her in death.
Evelyn was married to Manley Ellis who passed in 1973.
Her brothers, Ralph, Roman, LeRoy, Bill and Richard; sister, Irene; and one great-grandchild also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Tawna) Ellis of Alliance and Michael (Pam) Ellis of Hartville; sister, Shirley Stickler of New York; brother, Don Stickler of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Terry Ellis, Tara (Manuel) Clevenger, Michael (Jamie) Ellis and Tiffany (Jim) Morris; three great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Evelyn retired from Jiffy Metal and Teledyne Monarch.
She will be remembered for her never-tiring hard work and faithfulness to her family. We couldn't have had a better mother-in-law. She taught us all how to help others. Till we meet again!
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., tonight, Friday, October 30, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Fair officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
