Evelyn Mae Mason

Evelyn Mae Mason, age 95, of Alliance, after a prolonged illness, has gone to meet her Lord at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Roselawn Gardens.
She was born September 1, 1917, in Alliance, to George and Pearl (Dutton) Nieman, and was a lifetime Alliance resident.
Evelyn was a member of the Tri-County Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards, working with her flowers and especially spending time with her children and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved anything Elvis.
A wonderful mother of five, her survivors include her three children, Shirley (Wilbert) Williams, Gary (Janeen) Mason and Bonnie Sweitzer, all of Alliance; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wateman Eugene Mason, whom she married February 8, 1934 and who died November 15, 1990; two daughters, Norma Berger and Joyce Saunier; and several brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Risley officiating. Friends may call one half hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
