Evelyn Mae Minich

Evelyn Mae Minnich, age 82, of Alliance, died at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at her home.
Evelyn was born August 3, 1925 in Rixford, Pennsylvania to Dave and Lottie (Wise) Hughes and resided in Alliance since 1956. She graduated from Bryant and Stratton in Buffalo, NY and was employed as a Secretary at B&W Research.
Evelyn was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church, Cosmopolitan Club, Alliance Woman's Club, House and Garden Club and Flower Arrangers.
Mrs. Minnich enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed expressing herself artistically through needlework, painting, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include her husband Donald M. Minnich Sr. whom she married July 28, 1951; four children; Donald Minnich Jr., William G. (Shelly) Minnich, David L. Minnich and Susan L. (Jess) Gift; and eight grandchildren; Bob, Mike, Jessica, Lauren, Danielle, Marie, Chelsea and Donnie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm officiating. Eulogists will include Lydia Caskey, Deloris Barret and Martha Stewart. Refreshments after the memorial service are being coordinated by Barb Armitage.
Interment was at McKean Memorial Park in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
