Evelyn Louise Wright, age 87 of Homeworth, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born January 29, 1923 in Toronto, Ohio to Arthur John and Florence Irene (Eshbaugh) Fowler.
Evelyn was a member of Bayard United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Hattie Coe of Hickory, North Carolina, Shirley Carpenter of Alliance, Rebecca Owen of Jacksonville, Florida, Carol (Harold) Leasure of Manchester, Tennessee, Jackie Frey of Vero Beach, Florida, John Wells, Fred Wells Jr., and Rodney Wells, all of Whipple, Ohio, Joseph Wells of Mantua, Ohio, and Calvin Wells, of Alliance; half-brothers, John Walliser Jr. of Akron and Robert Walliser of Mogadore, Ohio; half-sister Roberta Pullman of Akron, Ohio; 45 grandchildren; and 100 plus great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Densel K. Wright, whom she married June 14, 1980, and who died March 26, 1992, and Fred Wells Sr., who died in December, 1985; brother, Clarence Fowler, son, Daniel Wells, daughters, Leona Avila and Marjorie Wells; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
