Everett Broadwater Jr.

Everett Broadwater, Jr., age 99, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

He was born on August 4, 1924, in Accident, Maryland, to Everett and Cora (Brenneman) Broadwater.

Everett attended school in Coshocton and loved fishing, playing music and especially spending time with his family. Always a favorite with children, he was known as ‘Papa Sugar’ and usually had a full cookie jar he was willing to share. He retired from B & W Tubular Products Keystone plant after 33 years as a maintenance and store room attendant. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Linda (Robert) Cunningham and Gregory Broadwater; grandchildren, Shannon (Thomas Brelinski) Cunningham, Shadd Cunningham, Briana (Carl) Schwind and Ross (Kim) and Cody Broadwater; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy (Erb) Broadwater, who passed away July 21, 2015; brothers, Robert and William Broadwater; and sisters, Thelma Wheeler and Glenna Parks.  

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
