Everett Ryks

Everett W. Ryks, age 92 of Alliance, died at 4:21 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2005 at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born October 8, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio to Herbert and Rose (Ladle) Ryks and lived in Alliance since 1949.
Mr. Ryks was a purchasing agent for Universal Co-Operatives in Alliance, until retiring in 1975.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, former member of the trustees, past-president of United Methodist Men, and active in many phases of the church activities.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. #467, and Carnation City Players, where he was an active and long time member. Everett was an avid Mount Union Football fan, an active bridge player, and was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Jill (James) Greiner of Alliance; and Robin (William) Musgrave of Randolph, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mike and Julie, and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Ann (Zak) Ryks, whom he married Oct. 12, 1940, and who died July 16, 2001, one brother, and one nephew.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
