Fannie Margaret Dreisinger passed away at Oak Tree Villas Nursing Home in Jefferson City, Missouri on April 26, 2006.
She joins her mother and father Flora and William Arnott; her five brothers and sisters Frank, Jack, Bill, Nell and Lillian Arnott; and her loving husband Dr. Edward J. Dreisinger, in a better place.
She was born October 13, 1912 in Toronto, Canada. A graduate of Moulton College, Fannie taught school for 10 years in Toronto and was a counselor for numerous summers at Camp Ouareau in Quebec, Canada. A talented basketball player, tennis player, and swimmer, she taught hundreds of children to love physical fitness. She married Dr. Dreisinger in 1942 and continued her days as a loving wife and devoted mother. She was also an active member of the Chapter CP PEO Alliance.
She is survived by her three children, Margaret Anne Cole of Fairfax, Virginia; Thomas Edward Dreisinger of Detroit, Michigan; and Nancy Jeanne Dreisinger of Jefferson City, Missouri; as well as her three grandchildren Graham and Nancy Ellen Eddy of Fairfax, Virginia; and Mariah Lyn Dreisinger of Jefferson City, Missouri.
Fannie's intense love for life and her deep faith were an inspiration to many. While her physical body is gone, her spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She fought a good fight, she finished her course, and she kept her faith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29th at Cassaday Turkle-Christian Funeral Home in Alliance, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. She will be buried next to her husband in Fairmount Memorial Park.
