Felipe C. Alvarado, age 70, of Alliance, departed at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born April 5, 1939 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. He was employed for 26 years at Don Poncho's Restaurant as a cook.
People sometimes had a hard time understanding Felipe, but one thing he made clear was that he wanted a family and a sense of belonging. He enjoyed fishing, working with farm animals, taking walks and watching football and boxing.
Survivors include his extended family, Jose and Sally Pacheco, three children, and fourteen grandchildren
