Flora M. Johnson, age 80 of Atwater, died at 1:00 p.m. August 31, 2005 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born May 22, 1925 in Akron, Ohio to Samuel Richard and Laura Hazel (Crothers) Murvine.
Mrs. Johnson graduated from West High School in Akron. She was the Founder of The Imaginatives Co., where she created and marketed Christopher Popinkins, which were sold nationwide.
She will be sadly missed by her family which includes her husband, Allan L. Johnson, whom she married Jan. 19, 1946, daughter Karyn (Thomas) Ludlam of Atwater, son David (Cynthia) Johnson of North Canton, daughter Susan (Max) Seidl of Alliance, son Richard (Cindy) Johnson of Alliance, daughter Laura Cash of Branson, Missouri, eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Atwater Cemetery with Bernice (Deetze) Barbarossa officiating. Friends may call from Noon- 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Toys for Tots.
