Florence E. Miller

Florence E. Miller, age 90 of Alliance, died at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 21, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 12, 1915 in Alliance, Ohio to Homer and Florence (Collier) Newman and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Miller graduated in 1934 from Alliance High School and worked in the grocery business for several years.
She was a member of First Christian Church, and former member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 296.
Survivors include her son, Jerrold Miller of Canton; her daughter, Janet (Richard) Elliott of Alliance; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rev. William C. (Ruth) Newman of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John B. Miller, whom she married April 27, 1941, and who died in 1977; one son, Jon W. Miller who died in 1993, one daughter, Judy A. Gallina, who died in 2000, and one brother, Jack D. Newman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Bruno officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
