Floyd M. Sanor age 89, of Alliance, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Freeburg, Ohio, August 11, 1918 to Earl E. and Bessie A. (Stouffer) Sanor and lived most of his life in the Homeworth area.
Floyd graduated from Goshen High School and attended Chicago Tech University. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was employed by Ohio Drill and Tool Company for 32 years.
He was a former member of the Knox Twp. Ruritans and a life member of the American Legion Post 574, North Georgetown.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Wilma A. (Cunin) Sanor of Alliance, whom he married December 28, 1956; children, Paul Sanor of Homeworth and June (Robert) Benner of Alliance; stepchildren, Robert E. (Linda) Schluneker of N. Canton, Beverly (Jon) Hannan of Palm Bay, FL, and Janice (Terry) Gang of Alliance; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Anna Mae Buckman of Minerva, Ray (Kate) Sanor of Beloit, Evelyn (Larry) Romigh of N. Georgetown, Alice (Roger) Martig of Beloit, Bernice (Don) Blair of N. Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Sanor.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Fr. Donald Feicht of St. Joseph Church officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Maximo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knox Twp Ruritans.
