Floyd E. Williamson, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Bel-Air Care Center.
He was born October 31, 1921, in Alliance, to Fred and Josephine (Smith) Williamson.
A U.S. Navy WWII veteran, Floyd was co-founder of Tannenhauf Golf Course and worked as an electrician for Burden Electric and O.D. Miller Electric.
He was a member of Science Hill Community Church, American Legion, and IBEW for more than 60 years.
Survivors include sons, James (Lisa) Williamson of Sarasota, Florida, and Thomas (Jill) Williamson, of Alliance; and three grandchildren, Alexandra, Austin, and Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alda B. (Snode) Williamson, whom he married March 9, 1950, and who died September 26, 2011; and brothers, Chester and Earl Williamson.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A private family committal service will be held at Marlboro Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Truax officiating, with interment to follow.
