Forest Andrew Best, age 93, of Delray Beach, Florida and formerly of North Benton, died June 3, 2005 in Delray Beach, Florida.
He was born December 9, 1911 in North Benton, Ohio to Charles T. and Elsie M. Best. Forest lived in North Benton until 1958, when he moved to Akron. He moved to South Florida in 1961.
He graduated from high school in 1930 in Warren, Ohio and attended trade school. Mr. Best became a Welder until 1958, when he became a Meat cutter from 1960 until retiring in 1977. Mr. Best also sold insurance for a short time.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delray Beach, Florida, and was a very active member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church for many years. He was also a Master Mason with the Sebring Masonic Lodge #626, where he was a member for over 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Boyer Best, whom he married in December 1982, one daughter, Linda Keller of Huntington Beach, Ca.; one son, Tom (Duane) Best of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Eric Keller, Todd Keller, Allison Best, and Heather Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Cole Keller.
Services will be held at Noon Wednesday at North Benton Presybterian Church with Pastor James Henkel officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Benton Presbyterian Church, 19070 North Benton West Road, North Benton, Ohio.
