Francis "Fritz" McGary, age 81, of Alliance, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at McCrea Manor.
He was born June 11, 1934, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to Charles W. and Pearl I. (Ferree) McGary.
A graduate of Westminster College with a degree in chemistry, Mr. McGary was vice president and part owner of the former Star Bronze Company in Alliance. He was a former member of Alliance Kiwanis.
Survivors include his wife, Bette A. (Arrow) McGary whom he married August 4, 1955; two sons, Gregg (Christine) McGary of Beloit and John (Michelle) McGary of Alliance; three grandchildren, Matthew McGary, Meghan McGary and John McGary Jr.; brother, Charles W. (Dolly) McGary of Williamsburg, Virginia; sister-in-law, Nellie McGary of Cabot, Pennsylvania; and brother-in-law, William Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas McGary; and two sisters, Harriett Wilson and Margaret Jones.
Per Mr. McGary's request, no services will be held.
